Pubs, bars, inns, taverns. Whatever you call them they seem to be the centre of many characters’ world. Parties form in taverns, meet there and start bar fights there. The GM’s carefully laid plans for riches, honour and high adventure float sadly along the gutter of despair and into the drain of oblivion.

GM’s, fight back! You have nothing to lose. Here at last is a collection of 21 tavern-based scenarios guaranteed to put your players off taverns forever! Turn the cliché on its head and batter the PCs with more pub fights, bar brawls, inn-counters and tavern attacks then they can handle. They’ll be sick to their eye teeth by the time they’ve finished this lot. Just mention a tankard of frothy ale and a crusty ‘meat’ pie and they’ll be off down the local mine before you can say “what you having?”

From the large and very swish White Swan, to the homely Four Oaks, and even the decidedly dubious Black Dragon, they’re all here. Too Many Taverns is the perfect antidote to those players who only ever want to go to the nearest hostelry.

Each tavern has a description, names of the people involved with it, a brief list of services provided, and a few other relevant details, followed by the bare bones of a short scenario that can be used ‘as is’ or as a hook for a wider adventure.
